Welcome To Tales from the Badgers Sett
Welcome to the website for Drunken Badger Games a joint venture set up in 2009 by Alan Hume, Benn Beaton and Marc Farrimond to find niches and gaps in the games market and offer quality products at very reasonable prices to the gaming public.
Here on this site you will discover more about our products and plans for the future, be able to download freebies and adventures and much, much more! As this is only a temporary page please bear with us while we get our badgers working hard to erect a more perfect site for you in the meanwhile here is a quick glimpse at what we have planned for the coming months.
Cliché: The Roleplaying Game of Predictable Horror
Have you ever watched a movie or been sitting through a television show and wondered just why the characters on the screen have a tendency to do things that no normal sane person would ever dream of doing. People going to investigate strange noises in a strange abandoned house, or splitting up and exploring the area, even though they know all too well that something isn’t quite right? Well that is the cliché that we as viewers come to take for granted, even if sometimes they do make us groan out loud.
So what is Cliché? Many game systems use a complex formula of math to work out who goes first, how the player hits something or someone; even things as simple as opening a door in many systems require you to have some hidden talent for portal verification. With Cliché we offer something that is far simpler, yet retains the playability of a roleplaying system, driven as such by the actions of the players themselves and the way that they respond to situations. Cliché is a game of modern horror and suspense and much more, and the use of clichés only adds to the fun and can even keep the Gamesmaster on his toes.
